MountainMed PRO · Medical Direction & Oversight

Medical direction from a physician who's worked the terrain.

Formal medical oversight for ski areas, SAR teams, schools, and expeditions — oversight that satisfies licensing requirements and builds systems your team will actually use. Modern wilderness medicine, not a hospital template.

Your medical director

Patrick Fink, MD — emergency physician, patroller

Credibility from the clinic and the hill

Most medical directors bring clinical credentials. Few bring seasons on a patrol, rescues in real terrain, and a working knowledge of what your providers face when the weather turns and the radio crackles.

Dr. Fink is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician and fellowship-trained wilderness medicine specialist serving as Medical Director for Mt. Bachelor Ski & Bike Patrol. He builds oversight systems shaped by the field — because he's in it.

He also hosts Wilderness Medicine Updates, a free podcast keeping austere providers current.

Engagement

How it works

1

Intro call

Tell us about your operation, your providers, and what your regulators require. We'll tell you honestly what you need — and what you don't.

2

Scoped proposal

A clear engagement scoped to your team: oversight, protocols, education, or all three. No retainer surprises.

3

Ongoing direction

Protocol review cycles, QA/QI, credentialing, training — with a medical director your members can actually reach.

Built-in platform: medical direction clients get their protocols delivered on MountainMed PRO Protocols — versioned, always current, and offline on every member's phone — and can add Cases for team training.

Let's talk about your team.

Tell us what you're running and where it hurts. We'll point you in the right direction — even if it isn't us.
